L.G. Harris & Co. Ltd welcomes the Duke of Kent.

World-class manufacturer of decorating products, L.G. Harris & Co. was honoured today (Tuesday 29th March 2011) with a visit from HRH The Duke of Kent to celebrate their 50th anniversary of being awarded a Royal Warrant.

The visit to the historic site based in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, was the first venue in The Duke of Kent's trip to Worcestershire where he was warmly welcomed by Andrew Harris, the Board of Directors, employees, customers and suppliers.

Andrew Harris, son of the founder of the company hosted the event which gave The Duke of Kent a chance to tour the site and visit some of the key departments before the unveiling of a commemorative plaque to mark the joyous occasion.

Andrew Harris said:

"We were very honoured that The Duke of Kent joined us at L.G. Harris in our 50th year celebrations of holding the Royal Warrant.  It was a great honour to be able to talk to The Duke about how L.G. Harris began and how the company has grown over the years despite difficult market conditions. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved and is sure to go down in Harris' history."

L.G. Harris & Co. Ltd was awarded a Royal Warrant in 1961 for the supply of high quality paint brushes and painters tools - and has held onto the prestigious award to this day. The company prides itself on maintaining high quality standards, as well as being forward thinking and constantly striving to develop and improve the product offering.
